Sara Mae Guerin, 24, of Ballwin, was charged with fraudulently trying to obtain a controlled substance in Brentwood. On May 2, she altered a prescription date for Adderall, an amphetamine at the Brentwood Dierbergs, according to court records.

Guerin presented a prescription for Adderall at the Dierbergs pharmacy. The prescription had obviously been altered or forged, and store employees called Brentwood police. Guerin confessed to police that she had altered a prescription she had received earlier that day from her doctor. The doctor listed a fill date of May 17, and Guerin admitted that she had changed it to an earlier date in an attempt to get the prescription filled sooner. She told police she believed she may be addicted to Adderall.
