The 24th Annual Canine Carnival is coming up on Sunday, October 5! Bring your pooches and join the APA for a day packed with dog games, prizes, adoptable pets, kids’ activities, vendor booths, food trucks, beer and more!

Emcee Kelly Jackson from News Channel 5 will help us crown our 2014 Queen and King at the Canine Coronation Ceremony. APA Education Director Jennifer Blome will join her in leading the Pooch Parade that follows.

This year you’ll find games for adults as well as pups. Our friends down at The Watering Bowl will provide doggy daycare for those who want to take a furry-free stroll to check out the goods for sale at our great vendor booths or have a bite to eat from the food trucks. Don’t forget to grab a cold, frosty one from our new beer stand!

Bring the little ones by Kiddy Korner for games, face-painting and other children’s activities, and swing by Adoption Avenue to find your new companion or just fawn over the available cuties on site that day.

Of course, there’s plenty for Fido to do, too!

In addition to games, you can enter your pet into one of the celebrity-judged contests! Your favorite News Channel 5 personalities, Julie Tristan, Pats McGonigle and Nichole Berlie, will be on hand to decide the best canine kisser and see who wore it best in the “Best Costume” contest.

It’s the can’t-miss carnival of the year, so bring the whole family for a day of fantastic fun!purina pro performance
