Along with Maplewood’s Christmas Tree Walk, Friday night, a new restaurant will open too.

The Blind Tiger at Sutton Place, 7376 Manchester Road, is selling tickets online for its grand opening. The restaurant will feature pizza, whiskey and ribs.

The event Facebook page tells folks to bring an appetite to the party.

“Our unique style of Grand Opening will allow you to taste ALL our menu items and indulge in both whiskey and beer tastings. Bring your appetite, because we aren’t messing around.”

Three local business owners have partnered up for the restaurant.

It’s the project of Mike McLaughlin, owner of The Crow’s Nest in Maplewood; Mike Jones, owner of Encapsulated Studios recording studio in Maplewood; and wedding and events planner Kelly Jurotich, with Crimson Petal, in Webster Groves.

The Blind Tiger is at the corner of Manchester Road and Sutton Boulevard, in the space previously occupied by the Jumpin’ Jupiter. McLaughlin said he thinks it feels much warmer than it did before.

“We’re trying hard to rebrand it,” he said. “I think when people come in they will be pleasantly surprised.”

McLaughlin said tickets are still remaining, and they’ll be sold at the door, too.
