Joe Cyr, the developer of Boland Place — 187 apartments plus retail at Dale Avenue and Boland Place in Richmond Heights — has lost his job at Lawrence Group, sources say.

Cyr had work there since 2005, according to the St. Louis Business Journal. This was in addition to his side work with I.L.I., LLC, the company developing Boland Place.

A source with a connection to Lawrence Group, said Cyr lost his job due to a conflict of interest. An employee on the phone on Monday said his last day was about a month ago.

Richmond Heights officials approved the Boland Place development on Feb. 1. City manager, Amy Hamilton, said the development has nothing to do with Lawrence Group, and Cyr would need to be contacted to see if the change would affect the Richmond Heights project. So far, Cyr has not responded to an email sent to him on Feb. 26.

Joe Cyr is interviewed following the meeting where Boland Place was approved.

  1. Wouldn’t that be something if all the hullabaloo was over nothing after all. From what I have heard there are a lot of hard feelings and some eagerly anticipating this project. I can only imagine the anger from both sides if it never gets off the ground. I hope that he gives you an update soon.
