On Sunday, the Boys Hope Girls Hope organization broke ground for two residential homes and an office in the North Hadley Township area.

The Richmond Heights City Council in March approved the site plan and final development plan for a new Boys Hope Girls Hope on Elinor Avenue. In 2014 the City of Brentwood rejected the group’s proposal to build on Madge Avenue.

Boys Hope Girls Hope’s mission is to help “academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college,” according to its website.

  1. I think this is a wonderful project for Maplewood/Richmond Heights area….and glad they are keeping it in our area. I was hoping it would work out in Brentwood, but it didn’t. Where is it going to be in Richmond Heights? Just curious.
