A Brentwood house built in 1925, at 8833 Powell Avenue, was recently demolished. It was sold to Prestige Custom Homes Inc. on Oct. 1 for $90,855, according to county records.
The Brentwood Historical Society reported incorrectly that 8825 Powell Avenue was the house that was demolished. That house still stands and is for sale.
Correction: This article previously stated that Kevin and Daphne Madras bought the house shown below, incorrectly labeled as 8825 Powell. The house shown is actually 8833 Powell. The Madras own the house at 8825 Powell.
The home pictured is 8833 Powell.
That house was owned by the Faulkners, not Kevin and Daphne Madras, their house is two houses east. Please correct the article. Thanks Kevin’s dad, also on Powell Ave.
