Brentwood independent shops promote shopping on the third Thursday

Five Brentwood resale shops are offering discounts and refreshments, with a drawing for a prize, the third Thursday of every month, called Third Thursday, to encourage shoppers to check out some local independents.

Suzanne Woodard, owner of The Refind Room, was among the first in the event.

“We started the event to draw attention to the local business on the other side of the big retail in Brentwood,” Woodard told St. Louis Magazine. “All the stores have a similar vibe, although each definitely has its own identity. We’re trying to get people to check out everything we have to offer.”

Third Thursday runs from 4 to 7 p.m. the third Thursday of every month.
