The Brentwood School District will join others, including Maplewood Richmond Heights, that will pay for high school juniors to take the ACT college readiness assessment test, now that the state has decided not to, at least for 2018.

Gov. Eric Greitens this summer cut $4 million in school assessment funding, which included the cost for all public high school juniors to take the ACT.

Last week when it was published that MRH would cover the cost, Brentwood had not made a decision. BHS principal, Ed Johnson, said Tuesday that the district will cover the $46 per student for the test.
