Jalissa Brandon, 24, of St. Louis, received three misdemeanor and three felony counts against her when, as a Sam’s Club cashier, she switched out a customer’s credit card three separate times, using them at Sam’s Club and Walmart, according to police and court records.

On Oct. 30, 2015, the victim gave her Sam’s Club Master Card to verify her membership. She later discovered that the cashier had given her back a Sam’s Club card belonging to a different person. Investigation showed that the victim’s credit card had been used later that same day for three purchases at the nearby Walmart. Brandon was seen on surveillance video taking the victim’s card to make the three purchases.

A second victim reported a similar incident on Oct. 19. Her card was used minutes later at the same register. Brandon was seen on video swiping the card.

A third victim reported that he had gone to Sam’s Club on Nov. 4 and had given his Sam’s Club MasterCard to Brandon to confirm his membership. He never received his card back from the cashier, and later discovered four fraudulent transactions at the Maplewood Walmart. Brandon was seen on video taking the card and using it later.

Brandon was arrested in May 2016 but declined to make a statement.
