Christ Church film festival to focus on Latin American immigrants and refugees

The Immigrant Justice group at Christ Church is hosting a Film Festival beginning in January thru February.

Festival del Cine Dignidad Latinoamericana will feature stories that center on the experiences of Latin American immigrants and refugees. Each evening will begin with soup and empanadas at 5 p.m. and the films, both documentaries and narratives, will start at 5:30 p.m. Please join us to learn more about our Latinx neighbors’ experiences in our pursuit of justice for all!

    a 2013 documentary about the immigrant experience of crossing the Arizona desert
  • January 20-Road Trip Nation: Beyond the Dream
    a 2016 documentary about 3 DACA recipients’ quest to learn from fellow immigrants
  • February 10-Separated: Children at the Border
    A 2018 Frontline documentary that explores
    Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy
  • February 24-Icebox
    2018 feature film about a young boy who becomes trapped inside America’s rigid immigration process
