Though some St. Louisans have spent their summers in the outdoor theatre and others haven’t attended a single show, one fact remains: The Muny has stood the test of time. It adopted the motto “Alone in Its Greatness” in the 1930s, and those words still ring true today, 100 seasons after it was founded. Discover the story of the Municipal Opera, known to most as the Muny in Forest Park, through photographs and objects.
