Welcome the Year of the Sheep with joyous celebration! The Richmond Heights Memorial Library, 8001 Dale Ave., will host the 10th annual Chinese New Year Celebration at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 23rd, 2015. Bring the whole family! Admission is free. Thrill to the Dancing Lions and Thumping Drums of the Shaolin Lohan Pai Lion Dance Troupe. Indulge in traditional CNY treats – moon cakes, oranges, and Asian candies. Festivities will start with a pre-school story time. We hosted more than 100 attendees last year, and we are expecting another big, happy crowd.
For the fully traditional New Year experience, wear red clothing to scare away bad fortune, bring red packets full of chocolate coins as gifts for your children, and display lanterns, fish, and flowers.
