German church books are a major resource for doing German research.

Kathy Wurth, genealogical researcher and lecturer, will show examples of what you can find in the records themselves but will also discuss the customs of marriage in the 18th and 19th century.

Topics will include courtship, arranged marriages, engagement customs, wedding contracts, and the ceremony itself. Kathy has over 30 years of experience and is the owner of a genealogy and heritage travel company.
