Maplewood is a town with a long and interesting history: two very important founders, whose impact is still felt today; the first place that  officials met to decide where the county seat would be; sight of encampments for Ulysses S. Grant; a destination for travelers as they went further on Manchester Road. Yet Maplewood continues to grow and thrive even today. To further your interest in the history of our community, Maplewood’s resident historian, Doug Houser, will talk about our fair city and how it has played a major part in the history of St. Louis.

In addition, Doug has been working on Maplewood History Volume 2. Hopefully, the book will be published and available for purchase that evening.
