Did you know there are many garden plants and plant based foods in your home that could be toxic to your pets? This discussion will identify those culprits and let you know what problems they cause. If there are home remedies to help we will discuss them and when you should seek veterinary assistance. We will also set the record straight on some plants, such as poinsettias, that have been identified as toxic and really are not.
Joanne Graham DVM, MS Diplomate ACVIM (Oncology) is a board certified veterinary oncologist who spent 30 years in practice. In addition to private practice, she taught at Iowa State University and also trained at the National Animal Poison Control Center. Joanne is a Master Gardener, as well as a volunteer at the Flora Conservancy of Forest Park
