Brentwood resident Barry Williams has reported to 40 South News what he calls “another loss to report.” It’s the former Manhasset Village Store at 8915 Eager Road in Richmond Heights.
The city of Richmond Heights has approved building 102 townhomes at the site, at 8845 and 8915 Eager Road, by developer, Grand Communities, LLC.
It was the last surviving building of the 353-unit Manhasset Village Apartment Complex that opened in 1939, according to Williams. “The recently-demolished store was a magical destination for me and countless other candy-loving children in Manhasset Village and Audubon Park years ago,” he said. Williams added that every tree on the parcel was also razed.
