The Irish pub, The Dubliner will reopen at 3 p.m. Thursday in the former Muddled Pig Gastropub location (2733 Sutton Boulevard), which closed Saturday night, St. Louis Magazine reported Monday.

The downtown location of The Dubliner closed in 2015 after a nine-year run.

St. Louis Magazine says the Maplewood location will feature pub staples from the downtown location: “…fish and chips, bangers and mash, and “a simple roast chicken.” Nightly specials (chicken pot pie on Wednesday, Beef Tenderloin on Saturday, etc.) and a trio of sandwiches.”

  1. Good on the new owners for keeping the staff. Execution was always on point in the kitchen and front end. I will miss the burger/beer/bourbon lunch special.

  2. I will miss the Muddled Pig. Had a bad feeling it was going downhill when we were there on Saturday and they were out of pork belly and hamburgers.

    • I was there on a Friday night a few months ago and saw maybe only 10 or 12 other customers. I’m surprised it held on as long as it did.

  3. Is it my imagination, or has this spot always had quick turnover? Dubliner is cool though, I hope it does it well. I’m looking forward to some good pretzels and a pint.

    • The Dubliner was good but it went down hill really bad toward the end. Hopefully they learned how to fix what went wrong.
