Maplewood Molly, Maplewood’s Groundhog Day representative, did not see her shadow, meaning an early spring.
It was Maplewood Molly’s first prediction. She’s been sheltering through the winter in her cardboard home at Traveling Tea, 2707 Sutton Boulevard. Traveling Tea owner Kateri Meyer announced Molly’s prediction of an early spring on Thursday morning.
During the month of January at many Maplewood businesses, folks predicted Molly’s prediction, as they made a donation to the Missouri Wildlife Rescue Center. Anyone who participated was also in the running for a prize donated from a Maplewood business.
Meyer said $101 was donated to Missouri Wildlife Rescue Center. Prizes for participants came from Amber Sky, Airedale Antics, Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions, Great Harvest Bakery, Kakao Chocolate, Pie Oh My, Stone Spiral Coffee, Traveling Tea and Vom Fass.
Doug, LaCosecha also donated a bag of coffee beans. They were a late donor and missed the published list. We are grateful for their support.
