Maplewood restaurants are beginning to shake out from the effects of the Covid 19 shutdown. Some have reopened after being closed for more than a year, others have been open with limited seating and some are enhancing their outdoor seating. The Dubliner and Encore Baking have closed.

Here’s a sampling of where some Maplewood restaurants stand:

Asador Del Sur opened its doors during the shutdown.

Boardwalk Waffles plans to offer fully vaccinated customers (with vaccination card) a free scoop of ice cream May 21 through May 28.

Bolyards Meats & Provisions has reopened in its new location — the former Dubliner location, which was forced to close in April 2020 — at 2733 Sutton Boulevard.

The Crow’s Nest reopened indoor seating this month, and a large, new patio is under construction in the back.

Elmwood pivoted to curbside only for now.

Living Room, at 2808 Sutton Boulevard, plans to expand into the space vacated by Bolyard’s. (Website)

Side Project Cellar is reopening beginning Wednesday, May 26 for curbside pickup. A patio around the side and back was recently finished. The Side Project Brewing Tasting Room, at 7458 Manchester Road, continues to offer curbside pickup.

  1. To answer the questions about Las Palmas and Tapped, I own both of those buildings:
    – Las Palmas closed in late October. The space will be renovated and offered for lease in the future.
    – Tapped plans to re-open soon, starting with Fridays & Saturdays from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. So, watch their Facebook page.

  2. Anyone know if Tapped is reopening? I haven’t seen them say anything about it but they were at Taste of Maplewood.
