Last spring, when Maplewood Richmond Heights seventh-grade students went to the Great Smoky Mountain Institute for five days of environmental education, they were given the opportunity to make a music video out of what they were learning.

In three days the MRH students produced a video that tells the story of the region’s biodiversity through the natural history of the salamanders in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, according to report by the institute.

What’s exciting, beside the fact that it’s an excellent, fun music video, is that it has more than 13,500 views on YouTube.
