MRH coach picked for coaching scholarships

Maplewood Richmond Heights head boys soccer coach Ryan Robertson, 27, with two seasons under his belt, was picked by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America to be part of its 30 Under 30 program, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported on Wednesday.

025-600x450Robertson, a 2007 MRH graduate, will receive scholarships to attend the NSCAA Convention in Los Angeles in January and enroll in a NSCAA Coaching Academy course. He’ll also be assigned a coaching mentor. It’s a yearlong program.

Robertson, with a 32-18-1 record in two seasons leading the Blue Devils, told the Post-Dispatch he heard about the program from fellow MRH graduate Randi Simmons, who was part of the NSCAA’s  30 Under 30 class last year.
