MRH girls soccer loses 2 out of 3 in tourney

Maplewood Richmond Heights girls soccer lost to St. Clair Monday, April 13, in the first game of a tournament in Hillsboro.

MRH lost to St. Clair 2-1, according to a report in the Missourian. The Blue Devils continued in the tournament to defeat DeSoto and lose to Perryville in following tournament games.

The St. Clair Bulldogs scored first 20 minutes into the game. MRH senior Gracie Biedenstein connected after a free kick to tie it up 10 minutes later. The goal was Biedenstein’s 12th of the season, according to the Missourian. The score stayed at 1-1 until the final five minutes of the game.

The loss tied up MRH’s record at four wins and four losses. Their record now stands at 5-6. Read the full story in the Missourian.

MRH plays at Crossroads on Monday at 4 p.m. and against Berkley at MRH Tuesday at 4 p.m.
