Maplewood Richmond Heights softball kicked off its season with a big win over Jennings, scoring nine runs in the first inning, cruising to a 22-1 victory in its first-ever game.
The girls had 16 hits in 26 at bats, led by freshman Victoria Chandler — four hits with four at bats — and also freshman Emma Cort, who went three for four.
