A group of seven Maplewood Richmond Heights ECC second grade girls took part in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego League Robotics Adventure this weekend.

It was held at Chaifetz Arena, and teams from the Midwest competed at all age ranges.

The MRH ECC team, Stream of Dreams, received the “Citizen Scientist” award and spent several months this year meeting weekly to design a robotic model to address the problem of water conservation.

The team was coached by Sean Krysowaty and Becky Rockett, and the members were: Hazel Brenner, Millie Hamilton, Zahava Kaplan, Madeline Phillips, Kaelyn Krysowaty, Elianna Cerven, and Beatrice Schmidt.
