Neighbors in Brentwood, Richmond Heights and Maplewood blocked their streets Tuesday evening to gather outside for National Night Out Against Crime.

The annual event promotes neighborhood camaraderie and police-community partnerships to make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live.

In Maplewood police officers visited the 24 block parties; the fire truck made it to as many as time allowed.

Marietta Avenue in Maplewood was one street that took part. Photos from other blocks will be added as they come available.

  1. Shame that my old street wouldn’t have anything to do with this. Tried a few times to get one set up, but no one wanted anything to do with it. Awesome though that the next street over welcomed us for theirs every year, we had an absolute great time and met wonderful friends there..
