The Art House Coffee off the grid coffee cart was given it’s maiden voyage Wednesday at the Schlafly Farmers Market.

Art House Coffee exists to support Bridges Community Support Services’ mission to employ the people with disabilities, “and to make great coffee,” Chris Phillips, Art House director of coffee, said.

The new cart uses propane and a deep-cycle battery to do everything a shop can do, Phillips said. “For 12 hours of pour overs, lattes, cappuccinos, also cold press on draft.”

They plan on using it for corporate or group events, or just rolling it out in a park on a nice day.

It’s “coffee when you most want it but least expect it,” Phillips said.

Bridges is set to serve its coffee at The Living Room Cafe, 2810 Sutton Boulevard, opening in September.
