Pedestrian struck and killed by train in Maplewood: police

A 34-year-old man was struck and killed by an eastbound Union Pacific train near Greenwood and Sutton boulevards in Maplewood at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, Maplewood Police reported.

The man, a St. Louis city resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both Maplewood Police and Union Pacific Police Department are continuing to investigate. No foul play is suspected, according to Maplewood Police.
