Monday, Oct. 6

  • A parked vehicle in the 3600 block of S. Big Bend was struck an unknown vehicle.
  • A 2006 blue scooter was stolen from the 2800 block of Oakland.

Tuesday, Oct. 7

  • A juvenile was taken into custody for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, Oct. 8

  • A juvenile was taken into custody for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 36-year-old woman for shoplifting merchandise from a business in the 7300 block of Manchester. Due to the suspect’s prior theft history, the case will be forwarded to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in consideration of felony charges.
  • Police arrested a 20-year-old man for stealing approximately $300 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 31-year-old man for a drug violation resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Folk and Laclede Station.
  • Police are investigating the theft of approximately $2700 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. Police have developed several strong leads regarding the suspect who exited the store with the stolen item.

Thursday, Oct. 9

  • Police arrested a 24-year-old man for an internal theft at a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police are investigating a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident which occurred on in the area of Big Bend and Rannells. A gold colored Chevrolet pickup struck another vehicle and left the scene.

Friday, Oct. 10

  • A window of a vehicle parked in the 7500 block of Picadilly was shattered by a pumpkin thrown at the vehicle.
  • Police are investigating a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident report in the area of Hanley and Litzsinger. A maroon Chevrolet pickup with Illinois plates struck a vehicle from behind and left the scene.

Saturday, Oct. 11

  • Police arrested a 21-year-old woman for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Sunday, Oct. 12

  • A scooter was reported stolen from the 7200 block of Southwest between 3 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
  • Witnesses saw someone enter a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of S. Big Bend and steal a purse and cellular phone. The suspect then entered a red passenger vehicle occupied by an unknown female.
  • Police responded to the 2200 block of Blendon for a report of vehicle break-in that just occurred.  Upon arrival, police contacted the reporting party who said four men in a dark colored Pontiac G6 broke into her husband’s vehicle. The victims interrupted the suspects as they were inside the vehicle. The suspects then fled the area in the Pontiac.  The victim discovered that the suspects stole his car radio and battery.
