The local resident who had flu-like symptoms, then tested negative for flu and then was tested for coronavirus, told 40 South News by email that they got their test results back Tuesday afternoon and that they’re negative for COVID-19.

“Free at last” was the subject line of the email. They had been in self-isolation the entire time. They had to wait a week and a half for the results.

The results for the coronavirus test were supposed to be back Thursday, March 26. The resident said they weren’t contacted with the results, so they called and was told it would be five more days. “Very aggravating,” they said.
