Saint Mary Magdalen School teamed up with SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center to participate in Homers for Health. Saint Mary Magdalen hosted a Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby and dress down day.

Each student who participated made a minimum $5 donation and got 10 swings at the ball on the tee.

The top four participants, two girls and two boys per age group, earning the highest points will advance to the final Home Run Derby Championship at Forest Park on Friday, May 15 hosted by Matt Holiday and some of his teammates.

  1. I think the great part of this event is that healthy kids are raising money to help sick kids. No better health lesson than to be grateful when you are healthy. Thousands of kids at Cardinal Glennon wish they could be in a home run derby and not a hospital bed. It’s Great that St Mary Magdalen and the Cardinals do this for the kids at Cardinal Glennon.
