On the same corner in Rock Hill where Lucky’s Market opened in August, and where Global Brew Tap House is set to open soon, The Slider House is building out the space next to Baskin-Robins.

IMG_0811(1)A Baskin-Robins employee said Monday The Slider House is taking their space in the process, and they didn’t have a say in the matter. The Slider House, from Nashville, TN, is in the process of building out 9528 Manchester, and will take over Baskin-Robbins spot at 9524, next door. He said they’d close Oct. 20 or when they run out of ice cream.

It’s The Slider House’s first location outside Nashville. They focus on small burgers. According to The Slider House website: “If it tastes good we believe it belongs between two tiny buns. Ahi Tuna? Check. Lobster? Check. Black bean burger? Yup, check that too. If you can imagine it, we are doing it.”

Baskin-Robbins will leave Rock Hill to make room for The Slider House.

It will be Global Brew Tap House’s third area location, Feast Magazine reported. It’s two doors down from Lucky’s Market. The tap house will “have the same great patio, 50 beers on tap and another 200 in bottles from both in the United States and across the world,”  according to Feast.

  1. Baskin Robins should look into moving to Brentwood. Many poeple are very disappointed to hear of there closing. So think about it, we would love to have you here as our neighbor!

  2. Doesn’t anyone know what “slider” used to mean? The term used to refer to horrible food (usually a cheeseburger or White Castle burger) and is derived from the way it “slides” right through your colon. Grossest imagery ever applied to food. Why would any chef co-opt this term? It could have freaking caviar and foie gras on it, and it still means what it means, and I just can’t eat it.
