St. Mary Magdalen Church, in Brentwood, recently replaced its 68-year-old pipe organ with a digital organ from a Dutch company.

The original organ, first used in 1948, was showing signs of wear after 68 years. It was decided as part of our capital campaign to install a new organ to replace the original pipe organ since music is such an important part of Sacred Liturgy. A worthy instrument had to replace the original pipe organ. After much deliberation with several organ companies a Johannus organ was chosen.
Some of the original pipes will be used as a facade to hide the speakers presently visible in the choir loft area and the others will be recycled. This will honor the original organ and also provide beauty in the choir loft.
