Studio Forte dance studio left its first location in Maplewood, on Sutton Avenue, in March 2016, with owner Lindi McDonald Wimmer-Brown saying she would reopen, hopefully in Maplewood. In September she announced the new location, 3526 Greenwood Boulevard.
The building needed renovation, and Studio Forte had a soft opening in December. McDonald Wimmer-Brown said she wanted to keep a low profile, as other parts of the building are being rehabbed. She said she is working on signage, and hopes to have a ribbon cutting soon.
Next to Studio Forte, building-owner and general contractor Patrick Jugo (running for mayor of Maplewood) is building out the space for a new tenant — yet to be announced. There are two apartments on the second floor; one is finished.
