Maplewood police arrested a suspect on Wednesday in the robbery that took place Monday night at Bellevue Avenue and Lyndover Place, in which the victim was attacked with a hammer, according to a resident.
Maplewood Police Sgt. Matt Nighbor said the suspect has been charged, but they don’t want to release details that might tip off another suspect already in custody in St. Louis city.
Nighbor said police will be able to provide more details later Thursday or Friday.
I live on this block unfortunately. Police are constantly over this way for one reason or another. Makes me sad that stuff like this is happening in our community, even though I know it happens everywhere.
