Joy Luck to reopen next week

Drywall going up at Joy Luck

Previous signs on the door of Joy Luck ( 8030 Manchester Road) said it would be closed for ‘cosmetic remodeling’ from Sept. 22 to Oct. 31. Framing and drywall work is continuing inside, and as of Monday, it looks like at least another week of work. When the table saw was turned off, all a worker said was, “closed.”

Joy Luck Buffet ( 8030 Manchester Road) closed for ‘cosmetic remodeling’ Monday and is due to reopen Nov. 1, according to signs on the front door, in English and Chinese.  


They suggest going their location at 6623 Delmar Boulevard for ‘homemade Chinese noodles and other authentic Chinese cuisine’ in the meantime. Furniture is piled outside and free for the taking.
