Richmond Heights officials OK’d a contractor at a council meeting this month to reconstruct Wise Avenue street and sidewalks. The project is expected to take a year, beginning in March, according to David Gipson, assistant city manager. Gipson said there will be a public meeting on the project in the first part of February to introduce the contractor. He said the Bellevue intersection will be done during the warmer months to complete it as quickly as possible to minimize impact to the hospital, also, the project will be done one side of the street at a time. Originally 19 trees were to be removed, with sidewalks being widened from four feet to five, the new city standard for reconstruction work.
