Class 2 District 5 football post-season begins Friday, pitting 3-seed Brentwood (8-0) against 6-seed Lutheran St. Charles (3-6) at Brentwood.

The game will also match the area’s top two running backs. Brentwood junior Jacob Clay leads with 39 touchdowns accounting for 238 points and 2004 yards; second is Bryce Jefferson of Lutheran St. Charles with 31 TDs and 186 points.

Four-seed Maplewood Richmond Heights plays 5-seed Trinity Catholic ( both 3-6) at MRH.

Eight-seed Principia (2-7) decided to forfeit to top-seeded Lutheran North (8-1) after North stomped Principia 72-7 in game two, injuring several Panthers in the process.
