On the Walmart parking lot Sunday, June 24, a 25-year-old man’s girlfriend wounded him with a knife, but he refused to cooperate with authorities so the woman wasn’t charged, according to Maplewood Police.

Maplewood Police were called to Walmart around 7 p.m. for an assault in progress. A boyfriend and girlfriend were arguing in the parking lot. It escalated and the woman (25-year-old from St. Louis) assaulted the man (25-year-old from St. Louis) with a “cutting instrument,” causing a large cut to his arm. The woman was arrested.

Maplewood Police said warrants were refused through the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney’s Office due to the victim’s refusal to cooperate.
