Woman targeted in Commonwealth shootings won’t cooperate with police: Post-Dispatch

The 21-year-old woman who has lived at the apartment on Commonwealth Avenue in Maplewood that was the target of two nights of shootings isn’t cooperating with police, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported.

The shootings took place Feb. 24 and 25. The woman and her child weren’t there either night.

Maplewood Police Chief Steve Kruse told the Post-Dispatch that she is refusing to meet with or speak with the department’s detectives.

He said the detectives were able to develop a lead, but the woman refuses to cooperate.

  1. The same women was involved in a shooting Sunday 140 am in the 5800 block of Cates . She was grazed by a bullet & two men she was with were shot . All part of the opioid crisis we are in or those trying to to get rich from it .

  2. Uncle Jedd, shame on you! There is a faction in town that does not understand the reason for having a nuisance ordinance in place. This is the best example of where it could be an effective tool.

    • If she is part of criminal activity, then I’m with Uncle Jedd. Perhaps we all need more information on this situation before judging other people’s opinions.

  3. She should be evicted from the complex for being a nuisance and endangering other residents.

  4. Could there be a relationship between the Maple wood shooting and the Clifton Heights shooting, they have very similar features?
