No one blames you if you’re too busy to hang out with your friends on a Sunday afternoon. By too busy, you basically mean that you can’t put on pants or be around people because you already did that on Saturday. You need your rest, for crying out loud. So, look, it’s ok if Netflix always has to ask if you’re still watching Scandal. Too bad there’s not a button that says, “Yes, but I’m doing other stuff too, and I don’t care for your tone.”.

When we walked in the door of Great Harvest Bread Company at 7 a.m. the air was filled with a crisp mouth watering scent of fresh cinnamon bread right out of the oven. In the hour that we spent watching these bread makers weigh 30 pounds of dough, knead, mix, dip in toppings and bake it was absolutely amazing! Last week I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful local Maplewood company with my intern, James, from MRH. Being a business owner myself, I love being able to talk with other business owners and learn about their business. I just want to pat my old self on the head and say,
“Oh, honey.”. You know how before you had kids, you pretty much knew what you were going to do, and you DEFINITELY knew what you weren’t going to do?
Whenever I explain my job to people, this is the first question I get. The answer is, yes. Sometimes it’s VERY hard, and I have to pull patience out of places I never even knew I had. However, it’s also awesome. I’m very lucky to have such a strange, wonderful, niche job.
