The piece of stone with the word: ‘BANK’ carved into it — a remnant of the bank at Manchester Rd. and Sutton Blvd. demolished almost 40 years ago — is being offered on Craigslist.
It was previously in the back yard of a Marietta Avenue house, but was sold in an estate sale.
The seller, unidentified, is asking $2,500. This is the listing.
Assuming he came by it legitimately. I’m good with it being offered on Craigslist.
But $2500? Maybe if it was inscribed in Greek, Latin and Egyptian hieroglyphics..
