Brentwood police department and city invite public to a safety seminar

Learn how to recognize potential threats and how to respond to a physical threat at a Citizen Safety Seminar on Monday, May 21, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Drury Inn & Suites in Brentwood (8700 Eager Road, 63144). 

The city of Brentwood and Brentwood Police Department are presenting this seminar, which is open to the public and free of charge.

Major Joseph Delia, senior risk management professional at Whelan Security, will present “Situational Awareness and Recognition of Potential Threats.” Delia retired as a deputy chief of police in 2016 and is a past supervisor for the St. Louis Major Case Squad.

Lt. James Joyner, commander for St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), will present “Response to a Physical Threat.” Joyner has served as a police officer for more than 25 years and is currently commander of the SLMPD’s narcotics unit.

A question-and-answer session will follow the two presentations.
