Maplewood cat cafe reaches funding goal in 2 days

The proposed Maplewood cat cafe, Mauhaus, reached its Kickstarter  funding goal of $15,000 less than 2 days. The campaign was launched on Tuesday.

The campaign still has 30 days to go and will be open for more contributors. There were 350 backers as of Thursday morning.

Ben Triola and Dana Huth, co-founders of Rampant Interactive in Maplewood, planners of the cat cafe, explain the concept in their Kickstarter video. The cafe and the room with the cats will be separate — get your coffee and treats in the cafe, then go through the door and enjoy, with the cats.
