32 McGrath students graduate from DARE program

From the Brentwood Police Department, 32 McGrath fifth-graders last week graduated from the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Brentwood Police Dept sponsors the program in all Brentwood schools. DARE officer, Brentwood Detective Nick Nilson presented certificates to these McGrath students:

St. Mary Magdalen 5th-graders graduate from DARE class

The St. Mary Magdalen 5th grade class graduated from the DARE program Thursday at the church. Brentwood DARE Officer Nick Nilson spoke at the ceremony, according to the Brentwood Police Department. From the its website, the D.A.R.E mission is, “Teaching students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives.”

The D.A.R.E. vision is, “A world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance abuse, and other dangerous behaviors.”
