One Maplewood business has moved to a new location, across the street, and others have consolidated this year.
In June, Tint Tech window tinting moved from 2803 S. Big Bend Boulevard to 2814 S. Big Bend. Amber Pulley, wife of owner Dustin Pulley, said they bought the new location. They had previously leased.
Pulley said the owner of their first location told them the lot would be for sale, so they decided to move.
She described the new building, previously a used car business, as “disgusting” when they bought it. They repainted, added new siding, a new roof, furnace and electric wiring.
The business tints auto, residential and business windows; details autos; and applies vinyl wraps to vehicles.
D Mart, at 2664 S. Big Bend, and Maplewood Liquor, at 7203 Manchester Road, had one owner. D Mart closed in October, according to an employee at Maplewood Liquor, who declined to be identified.
The employee said with CVS opening, and the impending opening of QuikTrip, competition was too great, and business was slow.
Pertmad Seeram owns Maplewood Liquor, according to multiple websites, including findthecompany.com.
Also recently, Matt Williams moved his TKO DJs business out of his building at 7434 Manchester Road, and under the same roof as his St. Louis Closet Company, at 2626 S. Big Bend Boulevard. TKO moved into the space in Williams’ building that Saint Louis Cellars occupied, until it closed in April.
The previous TKO DJs location is available for a new business.
