The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, June 16
- Police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman for stealing approximately $100 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
Tuesday, June 17
- An officer stopped a vehicle in the area of W. Bruno Avenue and Hanley Road for a traffic violation. When the officer got out of his vehicle, the stopped vehicle pulled away at a high rate of speed. The officer was able to get the license number, which led to the identification of the driver. Several hours later, police found the vehicle and driver at a residence outside of Maplewood. The driver was arrested for multiple traffic violations in addition to active warrants through other jurisdictions.
- A 27-year-old male driver was arrested for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 2500 block of Sutton Boulevard.
- A leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident was reported in the 7500 block of Ellis Avenue. A parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle.
Wednesday, June 18
- Police arrested a 38-year-old man for disorderly conduct. The suspect had been creating a disturbance outside a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police detained three male juveniles for stealing approximately $150 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The case will be forwarded to the St. Louis County Family Courts for consideration of charges.
- Police arrested a 43-year-old man for assaulting his girlfriend in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue.
Thursday, June 19
- Police issued a 60-year-old man a summons for peace disturbance in the 2600 block of Big Bend.
- A vehicle was broken into between 8:30 p.m. on June 16 and 7:30 a.m. on June 19 in the 2400 block of Laclede Station Road. An Apple Ipod was stolen.
- A vehicle was broken into in the 7300 block of Flora Avenue. The victim said no property was stolen. Another incident was also reported where medicine from an unlocked vehicle.
Our car was broken into that night as well. Tools were taken. We hasn’t realized where exactly it had happened, at home or out running errands. Sounds like odds are at home.
My vehicle was broken into at 7229 Rule Ave in Maplewood, but I did not report it because nothing was stolen…just rifled through.
