Monday, June 8

  • Police began an investigation for a stolen women’s purse. This purse was taken from a Maplewood Commons business while the patron was shopping for miscellaneous food items. Police were able to review all security surveillance video for the perpetrator; however the search was met with negative results.

Wednesday, June 10

  • Police were dispatched to a Maplewood Commons business for a shoplifting in progress.  Following an extensive investigation, one adult male suspect was apprehended while in possession of all the reported stolen merchandise. All stolen merchandise was returned to the business and the suspect was arrested for stealing under $500.

Thursday, June 11

  • Police began an investigation for a stolen women’s purse. This purse was last seen at an address in the 7500 block of Lohmeyer. The victim stated that the she left her purse unattended while she went to the restroom and returned to find that it was missing. UPDATE: The missing purse and its contents were later located on 06/12/15 in the same vicinity as last seen by the victim.

Saturday, June 13

  • Police were contacted by a victim of a stolen clutch wallet.  The victim advised that she last saw her wallet while shopping at a Maplewood Commons business. The victim advised that the wallet contained multiple credit cards and approximately $160 in US currency. UPDATE: Later on this date (June 13) police were contacted by a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officer who said that he located the wallet in the area of DeBaliviere Street and Westminster Place (St. Louis City). The victim later retrieved the wallet and said nothing was missing.
