Four Maplewood Richmond Heights High School students have earned the school district’s Seal of Biliteracy, MRH reported on Facebook.
The Seal is an award given by a school district or state in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. It encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain, and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.
These students earned the award this year: Anabel Parreno (Spanish), Anastasia Juracsik (Spanish), Reilly Tucker (Spanish), and Ibrahim Majeed (Arabic).
Great idea to recognize this officially!! ?
Well, I know that at least one of these kids speaks another language, as well, but who’s counting…
