The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 28

  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 7300 block of Richmond Avenue by breaking out a window on the vehicle. Two laptops and a cell phone were stolen.
  • A window of a vehicle was broken out in the 2000 block of Bredell Avenue.

Tuesday, April 29

  • Police arrested a 29-year-old employee of a Maplewood Commons business for stealing.  The employee completed fraudulent return transactions during a several day period in April.
  • A leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident was reported in the 3200 block of Laclede Station Road. There is no suspect vehicle information at this time.
  • Police arrested a 34-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old man for shoplifting approximately $184 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, April 30

  • Two vehicles were broken into at Deer Creek Park. A bag was stolen from one of the victim’s vehicles that contained a gift card, driver’s license, social security card, and miscellaneous property. The City of Maplewood public safety camera captured the suspect’s vehicle, described as a silver Jeep Liberty with no front license plate.

Thursday, May 1

  • Police arrested a 17-year-old male for a drug violation in the 7500 block of Manchester.
  • Police arrested a 25-year-old man for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Friday, May 2

  • Police arrested a 28-year-old man for peace disturbance at a business in the Sunnen Complex.  The suspect had allegedly threatened an employee over a personal matter.
  • Police responded to the area of Rannells and Laclede Station for a reported domestic disturbance inside a vehicle. Police located the vehicle and spoke to a man and woman. The spouses told the officers they had been arguing. There were no arrests made or charges filed. The woman found another means of transportation.
