MRH school district improves, Brentwood slips in annual report

Friday the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released its Annual Performance Reports, a report card on Missouri school districts. Brentwood School District slipped and Maplewood Richmond Heights improved.

Last year, in the first year of a new rating system, Brentwood School District earned a perfect 100 percent, and Maplewood Richmond Heights scored 88.6. This year Brentwood declined to 97.5, and MRH improved to 93.6, according to a chart on STL Today.

A district’s score is created from a wide range of data based on results from state standardized tests (MAP scores), attendance, graduation rates, and college and career readiness, MRH School District states on its website.

  1. MRH deserves 2-3% points added for having a soccer team. Soccer promotes discipline, attention to details, manners, sportsmanship–none of which is gauged on tests, but builds great personal character. Planning on going to watch and looking forward! GO BLUE DEVIL FUTBOL!

  2. Brentwood still scoring above Maplewood which one would not know from Headline, LOL. Good on Maplewood for improving their score. All the Best
